What are your Opinions on the #1 Spot in the NFL?

We’re only two weeks into the season, but the Patriots and QB Tom Brady have taken over the top spot of USA TODAY’s weekly NFL power rankings.

Brady has led the NFL’s most potent offense, passing for 940 yards and seven TDs in wins over the Dolphins and Chargers.

RANKINGS:  Pats are No. 1

It was a tight vote among USA TODAY’s panel of NFL writers, given that the defending champion Packers have yet to lose during their 2011 title defense.

But as former NFL coach Herm Edwards told USA TODAY this week, no team looks Super so far.

“To me, when im looking at all of this, I dont see a team thats complete on both sides of the ball,” says Edwards, an ESPN analyst. “In Week 1 we thought the Ravens were it, but they lost to Tennessee. Everyone is impressed with New England, but they’ve given up 400 yards a game. Green Bay gave up 400 yards to Cam Newton alone.”

Edwards says we’re beginning to see the effects of the lockout on NFL rosters.

“It is still early, but I think all this concern over missed practices is coming to fruition,” he says. “By Week 6, I think the good teams will emerge and we’ll have a better picture.”

Which team deserves No. 1 in the power rankings?
